Which amp for Monitor Audio Silver 1?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum and hope anyone could give me some advice.

Generally, which amplifier would be the recommended choice (tonally) for Monitor Audio Silver 1's in a 2-channel setup? My budget is up to around £500. I'm currently using a Cambridge Audio 550A. I have searched the web but havent come across any suggestions on what amplifier that is suitable for this speaker.

Hello, I think Marantz's PM6005 is worth a listen, but I'm not sure it's a big enough jump over the Cambridge you already have. You might have to stretch to Arcam's A19 to get something that really improves things.
