Which 40-42 TV on a budget of £700

Hello All,

I need a new TV mine old one is knackared. I would like a 40-42" LCD or Plasma open to suggestions from you guys. I watch a lot of DVD's and some Blu rays on my PS3 also some games.

Also wheres the best place to buy from as well.

I'd also check out the Panasonic TH-42PX80, an excellent plasma and bang on budget for you.

you might want to look at the sony 40 w4000 too at that budget. see if you can demo the pana and the sony together

if you are going to demo the sony and the panasonic demo them with lots of sd material form different sources. They will both be great with hi def, but it will be the SD that will be the clincher IMO

Hi Andy,

With regards pannys sets,have finally chosen the th42pz80, which seems to tick all the boxes,plasma,which seems to have a superior pq for the money.

Now I have noticed panny doing a 5 year warranty is this across the board? or at the discretion of retailers?.Could I send off for it once purchased.

If you or anyone else could clarify I'd be most grateful.
