WHF team, Interesting conversation in a Sony store

Hi Guys & Girls

Happy new year to you all. I had an interesting conversation in my local Sony store regarding Blu-Ray. They have said that Sony will be launching a new round of players that will also include a player with a built in HDD for recording.
Have you any more information on these, I know they have been released in Japan and other countries by Sony and other Manufacturers, as it sounds like the ideal solution for me and others who do not want a lot of diferent boxes under the telly.

It's the next logical step - presume they'll link the HD recorder from the current range of DVD players with a blu-ray player. Altho query whether there will be a large demand for it in the UK given Sky HD already has a hard-disk element. Will Sky's proprietary software allow the signal to pass to your screen via the sony player and record HD broadcasts as HD? Useful for (the very few) Humax Foxsat owners...
