I know the post strike is on in parts of the UK but why has my mag not turned up on the 11th as it normally does?

As Clare has already explained, the posting of the magazine was held up while your free gift of a pair of THX optimiser glasses was delayed in transit/UK customs, for which apologies.
The magazines went into the postal system on Saturday, so you should receive it imminently. And it will be in the shops tomorrow.

How many more times can we say a) we're sorry and b) this was beyond our control?
Our motivations - giving every subscriber a free gift - were sound, honestly! A combination of factors - UK and US postal issues; UK customs - conspired against us...

Yes, but saying something like "I thought that was the main perk of being a subscriber" makes it sound like it happens every month. It doesn't, given the number of posts from people saying "yay, my copy's arrived" or words to that effect, about this time every month.

I haven't got mine yet either (though today's post has yet to arrive) but, to be fair, I subscribe to five different magazines and What Hi-Fi is the only one which almost always arrives a few days before it's in the shops. The others only do so around 60% of the time.
A good point, WHF and Mojo are always ahead of time subs wise.
And, as a note, I haven't had any post for 3 days due to the strike!
