I'd check prices elsewhere before EIL.com - they're pretty notorious for charging high prices, though their range is good. I used to collect rare Genesis stuff, but they were typically three times more expensive in eil than the Ebay going rate, or even that to be found on other selling sites.

Have a look at GEMM, Musicstack (the latter I found particularly good) - both offer a huge number of direct sellers, a massive number of titles and you can pick and choose accordingly.

there's also VIP who do many of the big record fairs round the country and I think they offer sales on their website too.

The record shops idea is sound - not only can you support a local business, there's no better way to buy a title IMO. See the Coalition of Independent Record Shops on the web (Google it) to see if one's local to you. I lose count of the number of good and sometimes rare finds using my local places (the great Hog's Head, Avalanche, Unknown Pleasures and the mighty Fopp in Edinburgh).
