I too haven't played The Royal Scam in ages, but I heard Kid Charlemagne on 6 Music yesterday so I sought it out again. It didn't disappoint. As you say, it seems a rather overlooked LP. What do you make of the Jimmy Smith records, Charlie? Are they worth having? I type this because my dealer (!) is supposed to be pricing up a copy of 'The Sermon' which I quite fancy.
