What speaker cable for my system?

Hi guys and girls,

I have two questions really:

-Why is most speaker cable not shielded? Seems to me a bit of shielding is always a good thing.

-What speaker cable would be approriate for my system? (I'm not even sure what price range I should be looking in to not over or under do it)

My system is a Rotel 1560 amp, four B&W 704 speakers and and a B&W CMC center.

What I want from a cable is basically that it has no impact on the sound whatsoever, it should just pass the signal without doing anything to it.

Try the Van Damme Blue 2.5mm. PMC and the studios use it and they can't be wrong.
