A long time ago I had a Denon receiver. It was very nice.

A couple of weeks ago we bought a Yamaha R-N602. It's excellent. In the past we also had a Denon DRA-1000, quite similar to the DRA455. It was pretty good too but developed a fault.

Both receivers you mention aren't exactly new models. Please make sure that they come from a place where nobody smoked.

I'm useing Wharfedale Diamond 220

Denon and yamaha av amps
Go for the higher spec one

Both makes are quality.
