what optical and coax cables to use?

hi i have at the moment a onkyo nr5008 and the monitor audio rs6 silver (old version) speaker package i am using van damme 2x2.5mm upofc studio grade blue series speaker cable i want to connect a sony 760 blu ray player sky hd box ps3 and xbox 360 elite and oppo 983h dvd player and a pioneer lx70d recorder what would be the best optical and coaxial cables to use to connect these devices to my amp need help asap please

I would think that either Chord or QED's budget range would be a good starting point.

for your opticals, just use the cheapest. i've never heard any difference at all. some would say the same about the coax as well - i've never used one.

Fisual Pro optical cables at a fiver get my vote. Identical and I mean identical to QED. Work fine. I also recommend profigold digi-coax at around £10-12. MarkGrantcables are good for analogue stuff too.

I also own THIS cable and to be honest I notice little if any differnece between them.
