what next ?

i have recently purchased a panasonic tx32lxd85 television which i have connected my sony home cinema system to. I am hoping to upgrade the system with a panasonic dmpbd35 blue ray dvd and a onkyo txsr6o6 rv receiver but cannot afford to buy both at the same time.Which would you advise to buy first or would it not make any difference ?

Firstly are you planning on new speakers as well, because you only mention amp and blu-ray player. you want to buy the blu-ray player and start enjoying hd material, then when budget allows consider what kind of speakers you require. tradition or style. Iv'e got the Onkyo 606 and very happy with it, but also consider future purchases ie games consoles, sky hd, dvd recorders. This will help decide on how many hdmi in's and out's you may need and other connections and features.Also look at what other amps are available in that price range Denon 1909 at £299 at RS if they still have them would be a better buy.
