shippster:Hi, first time that I've posted a question on the forum pages, I'm looking to purchase a new TV and after measuring the space at home I can fit a 42" set in nicely but a 46" might be a bit of a squeeze. I know it all comes down to personnal choice at the end but just wanted to get some more informed opinions on what set you think is best. I'm currently looking at the Panasonic 42V10, Samsung 40B8000 or maybe something from Sony but I'm open to other suggestions (LG anyone ???). I have about £1,500 to spend. Finally I live in Essex so can anyone recommend where to buy from ? Many thanks.its like asking whos better looking , scarlett johannsen or cameron diaz , theres no definate answer , its what you like , and what suits your needs best ..
one thing i would reccomend is trying to demo the tvs in a dimm envoirement ,like a dedicated demo room , you wont find one of them in currys or dixons , plasmas wont look their best next to lcd , led tvs in a bright shop envoirement ,where all the tvs on display are normally set up far too bright , often showing specially made ,high quality hd demo discs , designed to grab your attention under bright lighting , if you buy a tv after viewing in such a store , you may end up looking for the best settings on a site like this , and after applying them , be left wondering why it doesnt look the same as in the shop...
