My old Pioneer DV-585A DVD/SACD player wont open the tray so I'm looking for a cheap replacement as the Pioneer cost me £50 about 3 years ago and to get it repaired would cost me between £45-100.

Its the SACD I want the most as I already own the Panasonic BMP-BD35 blu-ray player.

I have looked at the Sony BDP-S370 as a replacement but in their latest review it says it has no 5.1 analogue outs and I will be connecting it to my Denon AVR-2808 amp.

With it being so close to christmas I cant afford much and Ive seen the Sony BDP-S370 on Amazon for £100 and with Sony giving you the VAT back, this would be a real bargain.

But how would I get the SACD surround sound from the player to my Denon amp without it having the 5.1 outs?

Hi,

A good buy and cheap on ebay is the Pioneer DV-575A DVD/SACD player.

Have a look at item number 250723745014

I've had one for, what seems like ages, with no problems.

I'd like to upgrade to Bluray but until Denon/Marantz get their act together there is not much around as I want to retain DVD-A/SACD capabilities.
