What Ipod SpeakerDock would you buy?

Hi,

I want to buy a nice Ipod speaker dock for my bedroom.

My shortlist is:

Bose Sounddock2, B&W Zeppelin Mini and Vita Audio r2i

I play mostly pop, rock and metal music.

What would you choose (max 300 Pounds)

I'd save an extra £100 and get the 'full monty' Zeppelin. Just for the to die for looks if nothing else.

I want one for the sideboard in my dining room and I don't even have an iPod.

I agree with Big Chris to be honest

Not just for the looks but for its overall quality as well

Keep your eye out on eBay for 2nd hand examples or see what you can do by walking in to a shop with cash etc...

The Zeppelin is very good indeed

I don't know about the Vita Audio R2, but I have the R4 and after extended listening sessions, to me, it sounded better than the B&W zeppelin. It also had the advantage of being a radio and cd player.

Both are are awesome however, whichever way you decided to go.

I got a zeppelin a couple of days ago for my bedroom to replace a sony DAB micro-systrm. The shift up in quality is immense and if you get a radio app for your iphone you won't miss the fact hasn't got a tuner.

I'd say that listening to a radio app through the zeppelin is better than my Sony DAB which is a bonus as I bought it for the iphone dock.

the full size zepplin at £399 sounds miles better than the zeplin mini at £299. but you can not play pc or mac into the usb with the full size version . The zeplin mini sounds great for its price tag. never heard the vita audio r2i so i can not compare it but i doubt it will beat the zeplin mini.
