What hi -fi please which amp with £130 difference

yamaha DSP-AX863SE or the Sony STR-DA2400ESB

yamaha £500 sony £379 plus £10 off voucher from richer sounds so is the yam worth £130 more?

With that price difference, and assuming the Sony is one of the 'fixed' ones, I'd probably go for the Sony.

But I'd urge you to try to get a listen to both before buying.

thanks andrew i do appreciate abt demo's its just that no one round here does all the stuff that i would like to demo under one roof.

speaking with another forum member who has the sony and jamo a10 small ones he says they are fine but in both reviews a mention of brightness would you say the sony and jamo a10 would be ok working together

Sir - I had this same dilemma. In the end (on Wednesday) I went for the Yam, as I just don;t want to trust Sony with my 'hard earned'. I have had too many problems with Sony equipment over the years, and they clearly haven't gone away - as can be seen reading these amp posts. Just MHO
