im lost as to why, but somehow i have managed to get the display on the 875 to read "hdmi through" when playing dvds. I cant understand why or how its appeared and cant see anything obvious in the instructions. Please can anyone help? I feel i right numpty!!

nads, you my friend are indeed a star. I read the instructions from front to back ( thats a first!) and still managed to miss it.

erm, that didnt work. 1-1 monitor out is set to yes but no matter what i set the "resolution" to, be it anything from auto to 1080p the receiver still shows "hdmi through" on the display.

Oh well sorry thats as far as i can go as i only have the 805 but had read that bit before....

Have just spent half an hour trying to duplicate the problem you have on my 875, but don't seem to be able to do so.

It may be dramatic, and will involve you running the set-up again, but a reboot of the receiver will return it to factory settings.
