I am at a loss. Don’t know what device to get to play my lossless sound files through the Beresford TC-7520. But I want that device to play 1080p HD video too via HDMI. And I want it to have a good interface too, one that makes it easy to navigate through music. Any suggestions?

HDD into Western Digital HD media box? (although not 100% sure it's 1080p capable)

Apple TV will only do 720p for iTunes purchased content and won't apparently do HD at all for non-purchase content.

You may be able to hack it with Boxee to play HD and other formats of files but I would imagine it won't be able to do 1080p without going all jittery.

If Apple TV only does 720p, all the more reason to get a ps3 then :)

professorhat:
Apple TV, Popcorn Hour A-110 or HD Digitech HDX-1000. Also the PS3 - it won't play all lossless files from its hard drive but will play WAV files. Or you can stream lossless stuff to it from a PC (using PJPro's guide).

Errr. I don't recommend that approach anymore. TVersity was a hassle to setup. Now I use foobar2000 and foo_pnp.
