I am about to buy the Onkyo 875, and was wondering which film sounds the best to show it off?

I have Batman Begins with its Dolby True HD, but would love to hear the superior DTS.

Hi there,i would suggest buying Die Hard 4,it has dts hd master audio and is a superb demonstration Blu ray, also The Jumper has a good dts hd audio soundtrack, just a friendly word of advice before you purchase the Onkyo,i would audition the equivelent in money on a Yamaha, these are also superb dsp Amplifiers for music and home cinema.

Thanks for the advice. Shame the films are not as good as the soundtracks.

I have the MK Xenon lcr36 all round, and I have heard that the Yamaha sounds to warm and soft for them.

I think Master and Commander has a pretty beefy DTS HD soundtrack on it as I remember. Though don't forget, some of the best soundtracks are the uncompressed PCM ones which come on a quite a few discs.

The Professor is spot on there, I just watched Master and Commander last night the Audio is savage, however it is let down by a poor PQ, the transfer is not the best ive seen,

3:10 to Yuma has a 7.1 PCM and is one of the best soundtrack ive heard on BluRay...................
