Final Series (not season) of Happy Valley recorded from Freesat - now it's finished we'll watch it in two or three stints. Two episodes in - fantastic stuff,

Started ploughing through the earlier series of Mortimer and Whitehouse - Gone Fishing. I've no interest in fishing whatever, but it's great telly.

The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - incredibly dated, but I have great affection for it.

Also starting Inside No9 from the beginning.

The 12 Days of Christine, from Inside No.9 series 2. TV gets no better. Ever.

The Boy in Striped Pyjamas (BBC Two).

Film about the friendship between a Jewsish boy held in a concentration camp and the son of a German soldier. Fascinating and very moving.

Edit: Thought I'd seen the Japan series but I hadn't so did a binge watch this week. It's okay but he's a bit of a kn*b in it so not really my cup of tea, and at times found him rather condescending... maybe this is an Amazon requirement. I have much preferred him in some of his other programmes.

Glad you enjoyed it - I think the Japan series is a bit better, but have a lot of time for May.
