Hi,

I, by accident, left my new Queens of the stone age vinyl in the sun (I'm shocked as I do live in England..), it has warped slightly. Does anyone know who can restore it back to it's original state?

Any retailer who can sell you another copy.

Even if you could restore it, the heating process that would be needed to restore the flatness could well warp the groove.

So JD's advice really is the only sensible option...

very heavy books and another day in the sun?

Or, if you can't hear the difference, just live with it.

gbhsi1:The taxman has my dosh and he will not give it back!

Yep, They are like that.............

I've never found slight warpage a big problem. Just shut your eyes and try not to think about it - I'm sure you won't notice(!)

There are much worse defects a record can have. A bit of a warp is infinitely preferable to the dreaded off-centre hole.

Many years ago my copy of In the court of the Crimson King by King crimson, warped in the sun , quite considerably,i restored it to somewhere near flat by putting it between 2 pieces of glass , and then into a warm airing cupboard...it took a while and suffered no detrimental effect that i could hear...Bill

My turntable has decent clamp already. I will just buy a new one. It's only around £14 or live with the warp...if I can 🙂
