After years of enjoying floor standing speakers (Mission 782's), I'm now in a position where I have no choice (my wife tells me !!!) but to opt for wall mounted speakers. I would like to try and maintain the quality of the missions if possible.
The new speakers will need to be mounted quite high up, near to the ceiling, so I'm concerned that this will impact negatively on the sound. Can I get around this by directing the speakers downwards away from the ceiling ? what kind of speakers and mounts would you recommend ?
Would you advise keeping the CD / Amp or should I look at a complete fresh start , I'm happy with the combo through the missions, will that alter through wall speakers ?
My speaker budget, will be whatever my Missions earn on the second hand market plus £300.
The rest of my system is a Musical Fidelity A3 CD, Naim Nait 3, Chord Company interconnects and Naim speaker cable.
Cheers Dave
