Ooo, where to start. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are obvious starters, whilst Watchmen is also another stonker.

Left field entries for me have to be the two Kill Bill films - an excellent demonstration of just how good an HD soundtrack can be.

Too many to mention, but The Orphanage sounds pretty amazing. Fight Club, Captivity, Bolt, Shutter Island, Zodiac (US), No Country For Old Men, Sin City, Clash Of The Titans, Up, and the Toy Story series all sound great.

I think for BOTH PQ and AQ it has to be "knowing" especially the plane crash scene, incredible sound !

2012 is a great demo disc for audio to.

Yes, entirely without credibility.

jase fox:2012 is a great demo disc for audio to.

Especially if you're after the accurate sound of global destruction.

Another for No Country For Old Men (even if I am having some problems with it).

Personally loud soundtracks don't impress me as much as they used to. There are so many loud (and well produced) films out there, which is great, but for me the the novelty is wearing off.

No Country For Old Men is an excellent demonstration of how 'quiet' can create atmosphere and a superb sound field. The LFE is used modestly throughout the film, so when it does arrive it has more impact. Plus, vocal clarity is amazing.

Casino Royal is also pretty good, as it straddles the subtle with the bombastic.

Return to Forever Live At Montreux. The only Blu-ray or DVD I have heard which comes close to capturing the power of the bass of a live performance.

Got to totaly agree I love Band of Brothers on Blu-Ray. Sound is good all the way through, but disc three, Crossroads and Bastogne are out of this world....

Good choice Laserman

Is it really that good? I might have to have a look into this one. I've seen the whole box set for £17 in Tescos.
