Volume across front three speakers

Am I right in thinking the volume level across the front three speakers of a home cinema system should be pretty much the same? I have my Onkyo connected through the home theatre pass through on my stereo amp but when I run the Audessey Setup it seems to set the front L & R speakers far higher than the centre - if you send the test hiss noise they are a lot louder than the centre

the centre speaker level should be slightly higher than the 2 fronts, centre speaker plays most of the dialogue.
