virgin cable tv extention

Hi all,

Im wanting to change the position of my tv, but this means I need to extend my cable that comes in through the wall.

My question is can this cable be bought in the high street? and is it something that I can do my self?

As so often, Google is your friend. You could buy suitable cable and connectors from somewhere like Maplin, but this place has ready-made Virgin-suitable extension cables for not much dosh.

I wasn't sure if the satellite cable was the same as cable cable , if you get what I mean.
