just been to my fav ps3 site and there is a story from CNN saying the ps3 is dead and that there is no difference between hd content and standard dvd unless watching on a screen over 50".

read it for yourselves and add your thoughts.

The PS3's big bonus is its ability to double as a Blu-Ray player. Too bad no one seems to care about hi-def DVDs. The differences between Blu-Ray and DVD are hard to see on a TV less than 50".I agree the PS3 is lagging way behind in the gaming stakes, and i also agree that the PS3's big advantage is that it is a good Bluray player.

HD is still a relatively new format - it took DVD about 5 years to really take off, and with very little price cuts. BD has taken off quicker than DVD did, and has come down in price quite considerably if you look at things with a level head.

The difference between SD and HD can be seen on almost any size screen that the masses put in their living room, ie, 32" plus.
