Used Upgrade From Marantz CD6003 Required

I'm doing a lot more headphone listening these days and realise that I need more detail than my Marantz CD6003 can dig up.

I have a MAXIMUM budget of £230 so does anyone have any pointers to where I should be looking? Is this even a realistic budget? I'm open to any suggestions, although I would hope there would be a reasonable prospect of availability.

Have a look at the Ebay for the non-KI version of my player. Someone had the SA7001 for £199 the other day (a dealer, new or ex-dem I think).

It does look a promising option but it's been a bit of a job to find a lot of info/reviews on it as everything's about your KI version! It's still on ebay listed as B grade, manufacturer refurbished with a 12-month warranty.

I sold mine for less than 200 on ebay, although some people seem to expect unrealistically high prices for them.

If you are worried about buying B Grade, I bought a similar B grade PM8003 amp from Hyperworld and it was in immaculate, mint condition when it arrived. The box was not pristine, but the contents certainly were. Just my own experience of this company and product.

No, I've got no problems with B grade; was only mentioning what was on offer that's all, but thanks for the tip.

Now I've found out even more about it yep, think I'll get it. Something's come up in the last hour, though, so can't do anything about it until Monday at the earliest now, so just got to keep my fingers crossed and hope it's still there!
