Uprage and Headphone Question: Sony MDR Z7-M2

As stated I have a Sony MDR-Z7 M2 for like 3 or 4 years now along with a Shiit magni/modi + stack and was wondering if I should upgrade? I got the Sony because, as a hi-fi noob, I figured the deeper bass would be great and tbh I do love them but i'd like to have open Sennheisers. My real question is on the Shiit stack (Magni/modi+) is it worth to upgrade? I see the newer versions so I am interested. Maybe even going up a level or two like asgard and midgard. All I do is use it for music (is Amazon music the best? Its what I use and I like it) and youtube, and I stream a tiny bit on twitch. I watched jayz2cents video on audio and streaming so I downloaded the voxengo eq and I'd appreciate more advice on audio settings or best things to do. I have a blue yeti mic and was thinking about a sure m7+. Thanks for any advice!

Quite a few of us really like our open Sennheiser's 👍
Your choice of headphone will (usually) have a much greater influence on the flavour of your sound than any difference between (competent) amplifiers.

I've compared a few different headphone brands and models - the model I currently have is the HD-560S, which was recently on sale (in the UK) for £99.
For that price there is no bigger headphone bargain - and even at full price it's a real bargain.
If you do prefer a bass heavy sound, you might find an open Sennheiser is not for you, with the 560S for example, there's no overemphasis - but there's no lack...and there's real quality to what you get.
Just be aware that, on headphone forums, some are saying that there has been a change of sound with the later versions of the 560S 🤔
As always, best to try before you buy or at least buy from somewhere with an easy returns policy.

When it comes to mics, this isn't the place for recommendations.
Along with millions of others, I've used Shure's SM58 (there can't be a person in the world that hasn't heard one) - not sure about what you're after, but I'd take anything made by Shure over the ASMR favourite Blue Yeti.
