sorry everyone but i'm a newbie looking for advice and you've prob had this post several dozen times before but...
i want to upgrade my entry level hi-fi: NAD533, cambridge audio azur 340a, gale gold speakers
i'm almost exclusively play vinyl apart from the odd cd - i've got a wide musical taste (tortoise to minor threat). my front room is 4m x 5m. i don't want to get too technical with equipment (more plug and play) but do want best sound possible.
my thoughts for the next level are: rega rp3 and rega brio r
my quandary is speakers, at a real stretch i could go a bit beyond £500ish - there seem to be some good offers at the mo - so bookshelf or floor speakers, do i stick with rega all the way, is there stand out speakers at this price or is it really down to personal taste?
any help gratefully accepted
