Hi. I found on the ebay an offer for upgrading Marantz CD6003. The man has 100% positive feedback for his work, but I am still not sure the upgrade will improve sound quality of my MarantzCD 6003. It will cost me about 100 pounds.This are all changes:
Remove PCBs, re-solder phono and digital phono sockets.
Fit 2mm Antiphon resonance dampening bitumen pads to sides, rear, lid and transport.
Affix Zorkai pressure sensitive adhesive to both crystals to inhibit vibration.
Replace 2 x Elna smoothing capacitors with Rubycon 1000uf 35v types.
Replace Koshin 1000uf 25v with Rubycon 1000uf 35v type.
Replace Koshin 1000uf 16v with Rubycon 1000uf 16v types.
Replace Koshin 2200uf 16v with Rubycon 2200uf 16v types
Replace 4 x Silnic dc blocking capacitors in HDAM modules with Nichicon bipolar 4.7uf 63v types.
Grease drawer and mechanism.
Clean laser lens.
Re-assemble and test.
It is worth the 100 pounds.
