Have a look at the likes of the QUAD 12L2's or possibly the Monitor Audio RX2's
Both very good speakers and would work well with your system and taste in music

Those little Shanlings are something else! Had one mated to a Jungson JA-88 Class A Amp and loved it! If the amp wasn't so bloody big I probably would have kept the setup but....Ahh well. As for speakers, I was using Neat Petite IIIs which I also loved but I'm not sure whether they would suit your Quad muscle or not
