Hi , I was just wondering if you will be covering tv stands in the upcoming ultimate guide or any other upcoming issue's ? I know the Atacama range is an award winner, but they are expensive. It would be nice if there was a decent budget alternative. There seems to be lots of different styles of stands and a huge difference in prices. With new tv talk buzzing on these forums and this years new ranges coming out I think it could be a very worthwhile feature for alot of people. And if possible what rack/stand is good if say you have alot of equipment to fit in there as well.

I'm sure Andy Kerr - editor of our Ultimate Guides - will be along to answer this in more detail, but I know he has a section on racks/stands planned for the Ultimate Guide to TV.

Thanks Clare, I wasn't expecting a reply on a bank holiday. I hope your getting double time

Doesn't quite work like that, apparently...

Hi. Apologies for the belated reply. As Clare said, I do indeed have a section with racks included in the next issue of the Ultimate Guide to Television (it's on sale June 5th, by the way). We'll be including roughly 12 products - I'm still in negotiation on final numbers - including designs from Ateca, Icon, Just-racks, Ovid, Kuban, Omnimount and Spectral, plus (of course) Atacama.

How about commissioning a couple of bespoke ones as well....see here.
Would be interesting to see how they faired with the off the shelf models....and I'm sure the chippies would turn them round quickly if they thought a bit of free publicity was available.
Will be too late for me whatever you decide. I will have ordered mine by them!

Thanks Andy , I'll keep an eye out for the magazine. My new plasma needs a new home, at the moment it's sat on my old 32" Quintrix cabinet. I'll be looking for a rack with a decent amount of space for tv,center speaker,amp,ps3 and sky box.

At the moment I have the center speaker (mission m3c2i) sat on a shelf above the tv. It was to big to sit on top of my old tv and no room below,so had to go the shelf option. Im hoping the sound will improve no end by placing it under the tv and away from the back wall.

I do like the Atacama AVi rack though, the one with the pole that sticks out the back for the tv. Expensive but looks very sexy in black with the black glass. I'll wait for the magazine to come out and see whats available.
