Hi all

Have just registered to this site and am looking for some advice please.

I want to buy my dear old mum a couple of new tv's to replace to the old ones is currently using. I need one for her front room (32 or 37inch max) and one for her bedroom (was thinking between anything between 17 and 22 inch with a built in dvd but not too complicated)

My budget in total is approx 600 pounds.

Can someone give me a few ideas as to a couple of good value sets. i dont want something that is too complicated for her to use.

With that budget, you had best go to Tesco for their specials

Fpr the main TV, I'd look at spending the majority of your budget and I'd probably look at the Samsung LE37B550 or the LE40B550 (around £400 - £500).

Doesn't leave you much for the second TV I know (maybe look at some of the under 19" range at John Lewis or maybe this or this from M&S), but it does mean you've got a great TV for main living room watching.

It might be worth looking at richer sounds, they generally have some really good deals on ex-display TV's.

If you go for one of the Samsung the prof. suggested then you may get a half decent set this way for the bedroom.

We have a Samsung LE32451 in our conservatory and I have to say it is very good.

Thanks for your help professor, i have took your advice and gone for the LE37B550, have found it for £399 and the Toshiba 19DV713B for £199

Thanks for your help Mark, and Chudleigh it looks like ive done a bit better than Tesco on that budget thanks to the replys from prof and Mark.
