I have noticed in the reviews section of What Hi-Fi for televisions that there is no mention of screen coatings or duarbility. If there are children in a household I am sure some would welcome as much information as possible on this point. Frankly, I think matt screens look very dull and lifeless when the TV is not turned on. Perhaps the editorial staff could see fit to include whether a screen is gloosy or matt and also the covering of the screen by either glass or other material. Any opinions?

Well, if the screen coating is of a particular concern, then it is usually mentioned in the reviews. Usually, plasma TVs are glossy & LCD TVs have a matty finish.

All TVs look lifeless when not turned on!
