Six weeks ago I finally took the plunge and ordered a reconditioned custom technics SL1210 from Turntables-Pro. They look like things of beauty and I've been patiently waiting to get my hands on one to experience it first hand.
Sadly I feel my patience has been abused, this company {one man band or not, I'm unsure} have offered little to no update as to the progress of this order. They didn't even acknowledge the initial order which at the time I found strange... The original delivery scheduel has come and gone, two weeks ago now! Emails have been largely ignored, the reply I did receive after threatening to request a refund was vague to say the least, instructing me to simple sit tight as the turntable will be with me soon. Again this was two weeks ago, not a peep since...
This evening on their feedback ratings page I discovered there's another unfortunate customer that is experiencing the exact same difficulty, no communication, no turntable, no refund as requested, just silence. A little worrying to say the least! Sadly I've had to put an offical request for a refund in, plus a rather scathing feedback comment. My patience has been bled dry...
To add insult to injury this company are advertising discounted rates for said turntable in their January sale, plus an offer of no delivery charge. I was charged £20 for delivery which if they'd produced the goods at my door on time I would have happily accepted but not now. I requested that this rebate be applied, no reply to this. As an act of good will if nothing else I think this may have been a wise move on their part. I don't get why a company would be so neglectful to their existing customers and ultimately their long term reputation. I've never had to return a product or request a refund from Flebay. I trust it's a relatively swift and painless process...
Has anyone previously purchased from this company, what are your experiences? Do you know what's going on with this firm?

Ok, a brief update.
I really hate airing my dirty washing online but the truth is I'm a bit of a worrier, especially considering the sum of money involved.
Turntables-Pro have been in touch since the request for a refund was made. Apparently they're in the process of relocating their business and have also suffered the affects of a flood. Communications have been limited due to this. They've offered to get the turntable out to me by next week and have also offered me a good will gesture which I've accepted. The bottom line is I want the turntable rather than the hassle of sourcing one of similar ilk from elsewhere.
Turntables-Pro had perfect feedback on Fleabay, over 500 glowing reviews so I obviously purchased with confidence, hence my surprise at the issues I've encountered since.
Well finger crossed it will get sorted soon.
