Turntable only one channel working

Hi,

I connected my turntable up to my amp via the Cambridge Azur 640P and I'm only getting sound through one channel. If i switch the phono plugs around the sound moves to the speaker that was previously quiet. I'm guessing it could be the turntable that's faulty? I've checked the connections, and everything looks ok. I read on a forum elsewhere that it could be a problem with the tonearm? Anyone got any ideas or does it sound like I need to get a new turntable? It's a Technics SL-BD20

I fixed the issue... one of the tone arm wires connecting to the phono output had come loose... resoldered and now both channels working
