hi guys,

I am upgrading my cartdige and whilst removing the old cartidge two of the cartidge clips came off the wires.

I don't know how confident i feel re soldering them back on? Do you know where is best to get this fixed? It would be a simple job, but its obviously very delicate.

any help would be appreciated,

for reference deck is - project essential, removed current cartidge which was an OM series, and upgrading with the ortofon 2m red.

Thanks!

Maplins sell a little rig which has crocodile clips which you use to hold everything in place which makes life a bit easyer when soldering be very care full when stripping the insulation from the cables so as not to pull cables out of arm or brake them make sure you tin both the cable and the clips

as this will make it a bit easyer good luck

Thanks very much for the response!

Yeah, they are very thin, i've read to use a razor to strip the wires? I should have just left the cartridge and simply upgraded stylus :wall: ... but hey, good excuse now!
