Obviously even harder than it is to try and transmit a decent HD image now. Cost ? as little as they can possibly get away with.

And yes they'll make it look as rough as HD does now.

I still have no idea what your original question means. Are you asking the cost of setting up a transmission infrastructure? If so, it seems minimal, given that Sky is going to send it over existing carriers and to current HD boxes.

However, the costs of production are a very different matter...
