Cant wait to see this movie as i loved the first one, didnt get to the cinema to see it so watching it for the first time on bluray is a bonus.

Anybody watched this on bluray yet? Or just seen parts of it? Its had great reviews of being one of the best for sound quality & picture?

I got this a few weeks ago region free from Movietyme and I have to say in terms of the transfer it is very good, big and loud and great clarity.

Truly awful film. I had to sit through it with the kids at the cinema. And because it is Michael Bay it looks like it was filmed through an orange.

Still it is very loud, with tons of of explosions. And very orange. No doubt it will become a 'reference' disc for a lot of people.

It does make me chuckle when poor films are 'elevated' due to technical aspects like sharp picture and dazzling sound (i.e. Knowing). I'd rather watch a VHS of Blade Runner than Blu-ray Transfomers 2 anyday! 😛

Poor, poor film waste of time watching it.

It does look nice on Blu ray but it has nothing more then that and that is never enough.

I dont care about script with "transformers" all i wanna see & hear is robots battleing it out, machine guns, explosions & just a truly amazing home cinema experience to show what your system is capable of.

Take the 1st transformers movie, how can you not like the battle scenes throughout the streets during the end? The sounds the transformers make, explosions, transformers changing into jets & flying overhead from front to back, the clanging of the steal and so on? There comes a time you have to just switch your brain of from the film & just listen to the sound of your system, with transformers this is such a film, take it for what it is & thats pure home cinema magic !!

If i want something deep & meaningful id watch "the green mile" or "shawshank redemption etc etc

Even though it is bobbins compared to the first film, there are some epic battle sequences (the forest fight for one). Got my BD copy on my desk primed for some afternoon fun. Sorry, i meant intensive testing...

I've seen both (1 at Imax and 2 on a plane). Notwithstanding the vastly differing formats, 2 is a painful film, and I switched midway through to rewatching The Hangover. There are lots of "epic sound and vision experience" movies that are good to watch, so don't waste your time/money!

But it's got Megan Fox...in 1080p................isn't this eye candy reason enough to watch this or get the BD disc?

...........Nope, it isn't Mr Bay.

No. But it is wrong not to publish the time codes for those scenes.

I just picked this up from Blockbuster on my way to work. Will watch it tomorrow and let you know.

I have the IMAX version and I liked it.

Going against the grain here, but I thought it was funny, and good action.

But hey I am a sucker for solid action and little story.

I too liked it, and my kids (6 and 9) absolutely loved it. As Jase says, if you want something deep and meaningful, you go elsewhere...

Star Trek and Terminator Salvation (especially) are reference blu-ray
discs (IMO) - I'm talking purely in terms of picture and sound quality. This isn't.

The DTS-HD MSTR soundtrack is certainly an
improvement over the Tru-HD soundtrack in Transformers 1, though.

I found the picture great too, but I tire with the orange hues - what's up with that?

I found the soundtrack on the first one very weak - and people on here were saying it was loud and brilliant.

The picture was great know.

I think even some mags reviewed the sound track as loud and good as well.

It's not the lack of "meaningfulness" that bothers me, it's the fact that it's utter rubbish! The first one was meaningless but fun, same goes for Star Trek and Iron Man etc... It just annoys me when you see how good blockbusters can be (e.g. both new Batman movies, X-men 1, 2, Star Trek, etc) why they still bother insulting us with sub-standard stuff (x-men 3, Wolverine, Transformers2). Ho-hum.

Can anyone tell me, in the Bluray 3 disc version, is one of them a DVD copy of the film?

yes dvd,digital copy and bluray

im with you mr fox i just picked my copy up today i havent seen it yet so i might change my mind but i enjoyed the first one.not every film i wach has to teach me somthing. some times i just like to wach big explosions and not have to think about the meaning of a film.

mind you i did grow up in the 80s and most films i wached were stalone/arnie type movies that might have somthing to do with it.i think i even rented he-man a couple of times as a kid and the garbage pail kids and loved them.

while im thinking about bad films any one ever seen the starwars christmas special.now thats a bad film but for some reason i couldnt turn it off .

Its just pure popcorn fun, anything micheal bay does is for that reason and that reason only.Watched mine last night and it looked and sounded amazing.
