This is the American version of the HD EP-35 and it just had its price slashed over there to less than £150 my question is would this work without any problems here? I know that the player is region free for HD Discs but normal DVDs wouldnt play? Any news on a hack? Also Voltage, would I have problems plugging it in here?

Any help appreciated :)!

Won't play UK/European Region 2 DVDs, only US Region 1s.

No hack known of as yet.

Will need a step-down transformer to be used in the UK - a suitable one will cost you around £20-30.

You'll probably get hit for about £35 in VAT and duty, plus whatever the carrier charges to administer payment of these, which in some cases could be as much again.

And if it goes wrong, you're probably on your own...

What has Toshiba got to lose? At £150 they will be flying out of the shops, even if only as very good DVD players!
