I bought a pair of ProAc Response 2's new in 2001. ProAc recommended for top performance they be mounted on dedicated sand filled Target quad leg stands, which I bought at the same time. I have very much enjoyed these musically fine masterpieces. Stuart Tyler CEO/Chief designer of ProAc was very helpful over the years with new tweeter & mid/bass Scanspeak units fitted while I waited at their factory. I found keeping the front covers in place was better for reducing light deterioration of speaker units. I have paired these Response 2 with different Pre-amps/Power amp both solid state & valve but they have remained a constant along with my 2001 LP12. They were expensive but I have had brilliant value for over 30 years now!! Long live ProAc!!
