Technics or Pioneer

I have been saving up for an age to get a Pioneer A400, But now I have this Technics SU-v650 so is it worthwhile me getting a Pioneer ?

The Pioneer.

Technics VU series were the dog's proverbial up to and including their 'New Class A' amps - I had the SU-V5 and its successor the SU-V4X - both were brilliant. But the following 'Class AA' amps were just plain mediocre - and marked the beginning of the end of Technics as a true hifi brand, although they had a few great top-range components later.
