TDL speaker help!

Looking to buy a pair of TDL RTL3 but there are two different pairs available to me, the speakers look the same but one has a shorter rounded off grill and a wooden plinth and the other pair have a complete grill and no plinth. The second pair have also had the tweeters replaced which may be a plus as I have heard this model had a issue with the original tweeters. Just trying to find out if anyone knows the difference in the 2 different looks as the model number is the same and also if anyone has ever had any experience with these.

Just quickly googled - I think one must be the special edition version.
