Hi everyone,

Just a quick question, I'm looking into buying this TDK turntable which has a built in phono stage: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TDK-Record-Powered-Vinyl-Turntable/dp/B004LR5SQE/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1383820963&sr=1-1&keywords=tdk+turntable

Does this mean that I can connect this to my iPod dock's auxillary input and it will be sufficiently amplified?

Has anyone got any experience with this turntable and having anything good to say either way? I was looking at the http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rega-RP1-Turntable-Cool-Grey/dp/B0071L8EIQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1383821112&sr=1-1&keywords=rp1 also, if I bought an external pre-amp, would I be able to plug that into the auxillary input of my dock also?

Thanks!

Short answer is Yes and Yes. Probably. A turntable with a built-in phono-stage should plug straight into any device with a line-level input. A turntable connected to a standalone phono pre-amp of some kind should also plug into any device with a line-level input, via the outputs on the phono pre-amp.

Rega RP1 is highly regarded. Not sure if anyone here will have had experience of the TDK model.
