well hello all after being reading whathifi the last couple of months i have decided to post my first post on the forum

am thinking of replacing my rotel+b&w (see down below for my set up) hifiset for

a onkyo 905 reciever and I am trying to decide about

tannnoy revolution signature DC6T front DC6 rear DC6LCR mid ts12 sub

or

B&W cm7 front cm1 rear cmc center probably pv1 sub

could anyone give me any advice whitch would be better suited to the onkyo

and would the set sound round about the same as my old set uo or a lot better(seeing that my rotel is about 18 years old and b&w 20years old)

my room is open plan 9x5.50 metres lounge dining area kitchen

and the area that i listen to music in the same room is 3.50x5.50metres and i sit about 2.50metres from my speakers

thanks in advance Emile

I do. I would suggest the Tannoys with the Onkyo everytime. The Onkyo can be a bit full on and the Tannoys will handle that without becoming tiring or annoying. If you havent got the Onkyo yet I would also consider the Yamaha or Marantz offerings at the same price point ( RXV3900 and SR8002) as they have a better presentation for stereo and will get more out of the Tannoys IMO.
