Tannoy i30 value @ £99 ?

Hi, is the Tannoy i30 iPod speaker a good choice at £99 (Amazon) or would you still go for the Logitech Hi-Fi (£94 Amazon)

Most interested in sound and build quality but appears that Logitech is a bit more feature-rich (e.g. remote).

Have the Dec. issue of What Hi-Fi (for the 'Best TV's supplement) but summary of Tannoy only gets 2 stars in your buyers guide. Was this related to reviewed rrp of £250?

Hi Brian, we were deeply disappointed with the Tannoy i30 when we reviewed it in our Nov 07 issue, although admittedly that was at the original price of £250, and yes, the star rating related to that price.

It certainly goes loud, but the sound distorts when pushed hard, the bass is sluggish, and detail and dynamics are average. Even at £99, I'd still go for the Logitech Pure-Fi every time, especially as it was a Best Buy in our 2007 Awards.
