I’ve had my system (see sig) now for a couple of years and am thinking about possible changes, as you do!
I’m having a bit of a debate with myself and would welcome opinions. I rarely use my CD player so my main source comes from my Dacmagic, via Airport express streamed from iTunes and Spotify premium via Airplay from my iPad. I also listen to a lot of radio and watch live music using the optical out of my Sky HD box.
My thoughts are whether to sell my CD5i and DM and upgrade to a better DAC, possibly the Rega. I haven’t got any spare cash to throw at it so the budget would be from the proceeds of the sale. My main concerns are whether the sources I use, the AE and Sky HD, are good enough to notice and improvement.
