Surround sound wanted on tv and PS3 without buying a DVD player!!

Hi,

I am looking for a surround sound kit that will supply me with a good surround sound for both my tv and PS3. I was going to get the Sony HT-SS1300 for £300, but they have just stopped making it and the new one is not out until June according to the sony centre! Does anybody have any ideas as to what to do with out blowing the bank?

Have you looked at this? I'd definately consider it. A friend has one which he uses with his PS3 and it's pretty impressive. You can add on another 3 speakers to make it 5.1 for around £90 so it does go a bit over budget but you can always upgrade a few months down the line when you have more cash. It supports HD audio via HDMI from your PS3 and has optical and phono inputs so will cater for your TV whatever it uses.

Hi there - try the Sony HT-IS100 (£410) for size. The golf-ball sized speakers are easy to tuck away, and you can connect your PS3 to one of its three HDMI inputs.
