First and foremost can you get any sound out of the amp using the internal tuner?

Second does it have speaker selection controls on the front of the amp? If it does check you have selected the correct setting.

Third, and this may sound too obvious, is the muting control set to mute?

If you're not getting any sound during the speaker setup then something is fundamentally wrong. All I can suggest is to make sure all the cabling for the speakers is correct. If it is, I would have to assume there is a fault within the AV amp since it's extremely unlikely all the speakers have failed at the same time.

Do you have anything else you can test to drive the speakers, just to make sure neither they nor the cables are at fault?

PH, he is getting sound during auto setup, but nothing else.

The Sky box should have analogue stereo outs. Try connecting these to a stereo pair on the amp and see if you get any sound.

Alternatively I believe panasonic tvs have analogue stereo outs, Try these.
