Suitable Amplifier

I notice that Monitor Audio reccomend an amplifier with a minimum output of 60 watts RMS per channel for the new Silver 6 speakers. I have an Arcam FMJ A19 50 watts RMS per channel is this going to drive the 6s ok if I get them. Room size is about 27 square metres but long an narrow and I only sit about 3 metres away from the speakers.

the Arcam amp you have will be plenty to drive the speakers.. if you feel its not quite doing the job, then buy any arcam power amp and add to your system.

They are rated at 4ohms, your Arcam has 90wpc at 4 ohms... You'll be more than fine!

yes they are! I've saw the numbers or the Silver 10 and not the 6!

Unless you're planning on hosting a rock concert, you should be ok. Sensitivity shows 1 watt of power will get 90db of sound from a metre away. 32 watts will get you up to 105db.
