Hi All,

Well my KEF sub, a PSW2000 series (an early one) has blown again after being repaired 3 x years ago (£45).

Do I spend another £45 repairing it or quit my losses, spend money I don't have and get a replacement?

Anyone got the KEF EGGS and using a different sub to the one that the package came with?

I've seen a Wharfedale Diamond SW150 for £149 - would this come close to the performance of my PSW2000?

Otherewise, I've looked at MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MkII or a Tannoy TS-10 - anyone got any thoughts?

I have a smallish square room, sub has to sit close to the walls. I have Onkyo SR605 receiver.

Thanks!! Look forward to hearing any of your thoughts/comments.

Mart999,

There is a gentleman that specialises in repairing these PSW subs at a very small cost.

I bought a KEF PSW2010 from him and it's perfect.

His name is Frank and this is his website :

Hi Mart999,

What a coincidence, my Kef sub went bang a couple of days ago as well! This is only the second time for me, but I think we're members of a pretty popular club!

If you want to buy a new sub, then BK make some good units, I have an XLS200 in my cinema room and I think it's great.

In the meantime, thanks Ronald for that link to Frank, I think I'll drop him a line.

Cheers,

MART999:Thanks for your response Pete, sub looks nice

No problem....I reckon it's the best sub for £200 on the market at the moment.....and does look lovely too....
