I'm making a change to my setup due to downsizing but would still like to retain some of my equipment where possible and would appreciate thoughts on the proposed setup...

Monitor Audio A10's as a stereo pair

Monitor Audio RXW12 sub

CA 751bd with crossover set to 80 Hz

Obviously need an amp.

Is a sub & sat system like this even possible with a stereo amp???

Appreciate the help,

Rick.

Yes, I believe it is if you take feed from speaker terminals of the stereo amp, or indeed find an amp with a subwoofer-out socket.

You might get better answers if you re-post this in the 'Home Theatre' section, possibly.

Only stereo amp I can find with a sub out is the CA 651a and I wasn't overly knean on the previous 650.. The other problem is how to apply the crossover of 80Hz to the Apex A10s without applying the same crossover to the sub?

I'll try the HT section, also.

Thanks,

Rick

Most stereo amps will have a pre out for running power amps so just run a pair of interconnects to the sub and run it that way.

I have also run subs via the high level inputs so speaker wires from amp to spk inputs on sub then out to speakers.

If I have just repeated the last link, sorry, I didn't read it!

As for stereo amps, I can whole heartedly recommend Arcam's latest amp, the A19. Sounds cracking with MA gear.
